How can we encourage visitors to the Wales Coast Path and help stimulate economic growth in the coastal communities.

Satellite broadband for tourist information & communications hub

A communications hub is placed strategically on the coastal path at car parks, information points, community locations etc. The hub will use low cost satellite broadband to connect to the internet to provide WiFi hotspot, tourist information point, emergency services, local communications etc.

Grid to easily plan and do customer defined walking routes

The idea is to incorporate the whole coastal area for walking by creating a grid of walking stretches (eg of about 1 or 2 miles long) - also inland - where the intersections are numbered/labeled. The user can then,through apps, make her/his own route by connecting the numbered intersections, creating any custom route wanted, saving it and using it for walking.
