Walkers Alert Companion

On the 14th August 2006 my son Christopher drowned at Capel Curig aged 15. Since then I have set up River And Sea Sense to educate children as to the dangers of water. See www.riverandseasense.com and also www.watersafetymap.co.uk The new Wales Coast Path creates a need for joined up communications, to ensure safety, provide informations on locations for assistance and social interaction. We aim to attract new visitors to Wales by making a mobile application (GEM) linked to a central web interface to allow challenge/learning games to be developed freely by strategic partners. The games would follow the format of Treasure hunt/orienteering exercises providing an engagement with younger generations. The application would be sold through the android and iphone store for a nominal fee but licenses to create ...more »

Schools Coastal Path Project

This project would enable all schools to become part of the coast path, which might be right on their doorstep, maybe allowing a school to monitor a stretch of the path near their school and then post photos, videos of their section, opening the path up to the whole world.

It would cover and involve many parts of the national curriculum, geography, ICT, English, Welsh, maths, science to name but a few
