Remember the best ideas can win a slice of £115,000 in funding.

Collaborative neighbourhood community planning

Gathering and communicating community preferences for local planning using OS base maps.

 

This will enable and encourage community participation in the planning process and therefore have an impact on community development and social capital in the short term and the physical development of communities in the medium to long term.

Our Big Bus & Train Modelling Data Set

a web application that displays bus, train and other public transport schedules to visualise present routes and schedules and also enter proposed or amended services to see potential overlaps and service and modal connections and their potential impact. This will allow communities to design services for themselves with the aid of substantive modelling data.

Map Local Events

A web system (with app) designed to help market community events to incoming visitors and local neighborhoods. The system would geo and chronologically tag events and display them on a map indicating whats happening when and where. These events could range from a community bake sale to a performance by the local orchestra.

Helensburgh Beach Cleaning Project

Shore Restore Services aims to clear, clean and maintain helensburgh and surrounding areas beaches. There is tons of pollutants and debis washed up on the beaches daily, making the beaches unuseable. Our open-data platform helps citizens map food-webs, highlighting opportunities for innovation, engagement, and re-localisation.
